DriveTheory Pro is an independent online learning platform designed to help users prepare for the UK driving theory test. We take privacy seriously and are committed to handling personal information in a responsible and transparent way. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have in relation to it. If you have any questions, you can contact us at support@drivetheorypro.com
What we collect
When you create an account, we collect your email address and securely encrypted login credentials. As you use the platform, we store information such as quiz results, learning progress, and session activity so that your progress is saved and accessible across devices. If you contact us for support, we retain a record of that communication to help resolve your query and improve the service. Payments are processed securely by Paddle, which acts as our Merchant of Record. This means Paddle handles billing, payment processing, and VAT where applicable. We do not store full payment card details on our servers. We may also collect limited technical information, such as browser type, device information, and access timestamps. This helps us maintain security and ensure the platform functions correctly.
How we use your information
We use your information to operate and improve DriveTheory Pro. This includes managing your account, providing subscription access, saving your progress, responding to enquiries, and maintaining the security and reliability of the platform. We do not sell personal data.
Legal basis
Under UK data protection law, we process your information because it is necessary to provide the service you sign up for, because we have a legitimate interest in operating and improving the platform, and where required, to comply with legal obligations.
Data retention
We keep account information for as long as your account remains active. If you choose to close your account, we will delete your personal data unless we are required to retain certain information for legal or tax purposes.
